1. What you're agreeing to
By downloading, installing, or using Overlyric (the "App") or overlyric.com (the "Site"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App or Site.
2. What Overlyric is
Overlyric is a free Windows desktop app that displays synced lyrics for whatever's playing on your PC, as a click-through, always-on-top overlay. The App may show a small, clearly-labelled sponsor banner on the overlay card from time to time.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App to violate a game's terms of service. Overlyric does not inject into or modify any other process; it only reads Windows' now-playing session and draws its own separate window. Whether an overlay of any kind is allowed in a specific game or platform is between you and that game's rules — that's on you to check.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App without our permission
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
4. Lyrics content
Overlyric doesn't host or redistribute a lyrics database. Lyrics are fetched at runtime from third-party sources (LRCLIB, and optionally NetEase) or read from files you supply yourself. We're not the publisher of that content and don't guarantee its accuracy.
5. "As is," no warranty
The App and Site are provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every game or system configuration. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
6. Changes
We may update the App, the Site, or these terms over time. Material changes to these terms will update the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
